About the Author
Greg Elisha has called Downers Grove home for nearly 25 years, developing a deep appreciation for the town and its history. A longtime history enthusiast, he served seven years with the Downers Grove Historical Society, studying the photographs and history of the places that shaped the community.
This book grew from Greg’s desire to capture the town during a time of rapid change, while recognizing what continues to define the community. By pairing vintage images with present-day views, Downers Grove: Past and Present invites readers to compare yesterday and today, revealing how familiar places have evolved over time while in some cases disappearing altogether.
